Verse and more projects

I've been making these mini ornaments for a friend of mine. She lost all her Christmas ornaments in the flood we had back in the summer. I felt so bad for her because she lost things that meant a lot to her. I hope she likes these. I'm going to try to make mittens and maybe a sock also to complete the set.
I promised a picture of my sweater so here it is. It is hard to see the pattern clearly but it has cables and seed stitch on the body with a welt pattern also. The wool is from my ram Rex and it is soooooo soft! I still have to find some buttons for it and it will be finito.

Here is a good verse for Thanksgiving time..
Psalm 100
A psalm. for giving thanks
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
We are headed to Arkansas for the week. First to visit a college my daughter is considering and then to visit family. It wont be the same this year and there is even a part of me that dreads it. My grandma passed away in August. She was 94 years old. We spent every Thanksgiving at her house and it was her favorite day of the year. We would cram 20-30 people in her small house but it was always such fun. I'm not sure how you have Thanksgiving without grandma but I know she would be upset with us if we didn't continue to all get together. So, we'll just have to figure it out I guess. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone.

Wonderful sweater, and one of my own personal goals -- a sweater spun and knit from my own sheep! One thing that has always made a holiday such as you're facing easier for me is to make sure to start a "Remember when" session, when everyone shares and laughs about their favorite memories of the person no longer there.

Dear Sheila, it's been six long months since you've updated your blog. Are you okay? Is life just busy? Please let us know.
